Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois SLI License (required)
- Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Certification/endorsement to teach visually impaired students
- Experience as a TVI in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Adaptability and a collaborative mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support services to students with visual impairments onsite
- Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with staff and families
- Consult with classroom teachers and staff to implement accommodations
- Utilize a variety of adaptive instructional tools and materials
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
