A full-time opportunity is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students in Saint Charles, IL. This role is onsite within a school setting, serving as a vital resource for visually impaired students. The position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, providing consistency and specialized instruction during this period.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing the educational needs of visually impaired students
- Developing and implementing individualized instruction plans
- Collaborating with educators, families, and other specialists to support student learning
- Utilizing adaptive technology and strategies to enhance access to the curriculum
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instruction as needed
Qualifications:
- IL State Licensure in Speech-Language Impairment (SLI) and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Experience working with visually impaired students preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a full caseload with professionalism and dedication
