Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired to support K-12 students in Richmond, TX. This contract role requires a dedicated professional who holds a Texas Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license. The position offers a structured 37.5-hour workweek across five days, allowing focused delivery of specialized instruction tailored to the needs of visually impaired learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students across K-12 grade levels
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Utilize assistive technologies and adaptive techniques to enhance learning experiences
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation related to student performance and accommodations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Texas Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification/license
