A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized educational support within a dynamic school district in Richmond, TX. This position involves working onsite with a districtwide itinerant caseload, delivering tailored instruction and interventions to visually impaired students across multiple schools. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction for visually impaired students, adapting curriculum and materials as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs
- Manage a districtwide itinerant caseload, providing services at multiple school locations
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and valid Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) educator license
- Proven experience working with visually impaired students in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of adaptive instruction techniques and assistive technologies
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a flexible, itinerant schedule to serve students across the district
