Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification with a specialization in Visual Impairment or a comparable credential
• Demonstrated experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Proficient in Braille instruction, adaptive technology, and accessible educational materials
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
• Flexibility, creativity, and dedication to fostering student independence

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess students functional vision and instructional needs
• Design and deliver tailored instruction in visual skills, Braille, and assistive technology
• Modify classroom materials and adapt curriculum for accessibility

• Provide training or guidance to staff and family members as needed
