Qualities and Experience Sought:
- Current Washington State TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired) license
- Experience working with visually impaired students in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads across multiple assignments (exact schools and student numbers to be determined)
- Comfortable working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students needs and develop tailored instruction plans
- Deliver direct teaching and consultative services to support students' educational progress
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster inclusive learning environments
- Provide guidance on specialized materials, technology, and curriculum adaptations for students with visual impairments
