Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Valid Florida DOE Teacher for the Visually Impaired certification
- Ability and experience teaching Braille
- Previous experience with a caseload involving direct instruction and consultative services preferred
- Eligible for district fingerprinting; prior AHCA Clearinghouse prints a plus
- Passion for working with K-12 diverse learners
Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction (12 students/690 service minutes per week) and consultation (2 students) across up to five schools
- Develop and adapt individualized education plans for visually impaired students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Travel among assigned campuses to deliver services
- Maintain meticulous records and support compliance with district policies
