What You'll Need:

• Valid Washington State Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) License
• Experience or strong interest in teaching students with visual impairments in K12 settings
• Adaptability and strong communication skills for working across multiple school districts
• Comfort and professionalism with virtual interviews and onboarding processes
• Commitment to individualized instruction and inclusion

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students who are visually impaired, designing and adapting curriculum to meet their unique needs
• Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and family members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Serve as a resource for classroom teachers to support accessibility and inclusion for visually impaired students
• Regularly assess student progress and adjust strategies to maximize learning
• Travel between assigned schools as needed (assignment details and caseload will be finalized prior to placement)
• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in visual impairment education
