Step into a rewarding contract opportunity near the Rochester area, working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) with preschool-aged students. This role begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year, offering you the unique chance to provide pivotal support to young learners during a formative stage in their education.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and adaptive educational strategies tailored to the needs of preschool children with visual impairments.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring every childs goals and accommodations are met.
• Utilize specialized instructional materials, assistive technology, and orientation/mobility techniques to foster independence and academic progress.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, aides, and families for consistent support and guidance.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as necessary.
• Support the creation of an inclusive environment where visually impaired students can thrive alongside their peers.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
• Previous experience supporting visually impaired learners, ideally within a preschool or early childhood education setting.
• Strong knowledge of assistive technology and educational modifications for visually impaired students.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• A passion for engaging and empowering young children with visual impairments.
