Job Description

Empower K-12 students and make a meaningful impact as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in York County, PA. This contract opportunity supports school districts within the region, delivering essential educational services across Southern, South Eastern, and Dallastown. As an itinerant educator, you will collaborate closely with district staff to ensure all students with visual impairments receive the support and resources they need to thrive throughout the academic year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Pennsylvania teaching certification in Visual Impairment required
  • Demonstrated experience or training as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Comfortable providing services to K-12 students across multiple school sites
  • Strong communication and organizational skills needed for itinerant service delivery
  • Ability to adapt and collaborate with multidisciplinary educational teams

Core Responsibilities:

  • Offer direct instruction and consultation for students with visual impairments
  • Develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and accommodations
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods as necessary
  • Work alongside classroom educators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
  • Provide training and resources to school staff and families to support inclusive education
  • Travel between campuses to support students throughout York County

Additional Details:

  • Contract dates are August 18, 2025, through June 1, 2026
  • Onsite presence required for this position
