Make a difference for students with visual impairments in a supportive school setting near Naperville, IL! This full-time, onsite contract opportunity is perfect for an experienced Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) ready to step into a rewarding role for the remainder of the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois State Licensure Interpreted (SLI) required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois
- Experience or strong interest in working with students with visual impairments in a school environment
- Ability to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt instructional materials to meet diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct instruction to students with visual impairments, utilizing modified curriculum and assistive technology
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student on your caseload
- Provide consultative support for classroom teachers and paraprofessionals
- Recommend and facilitate the use of specialized equipment and technology
- Track student progress and collaborate in team meetings to ensure optimal educational strategies
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievement and progress

Compensation for this position ranges from $30.00 to $53.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
