Empower students by bringing your expertise in teaching students with visual impairments to a highly collaborative educational environment this upcoming school year. A contract opportunity is available for a certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to work onsite, supporting students and school staff throughout the academic year.

This full-time position (with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, though part-time preferences may be considered) spans August through late May, with potential pre- or post-planning days. Youll have the opportunity to tailor your caseload based on your age group preferences and experiencefinal assignments are determined in conversation with the district team, ensuring your skills are utilized where you can make the greatest impact.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Active Georgia Educator Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience working with children and youth with visual impairments in school settings
• Strong organizational skills and comfortable maintaining daily service documentation logs
• Adaptable and eager to collaborate with a diverse team
• Must be available for onsite work (virtual/VOCO candidates will not be considered)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments per their individualized education plans
• Foster a welcoming, supportive environment for learners with varying needs
• Participate in meetings and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
• Maintain accurate, detailed records of student services rendered daily
• Assist with developing instructional strategies and materials for accessibility
