Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Full-Time | K-12 | Miami, FL
Location: Miami, Florida area
Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week
School Year: 2026-2027

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full-time opportunity supporting students in grades K-12 in the Miami, FL area. This position is a great opportunity for an educator who is passionate about providing specialized instruction and helping students with visual impairments develop the skills needed to succeed academically and independently.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments across grades K-12
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs
- Provide instruction in areas such as visual skills, assistive technology, braille, and independent living skills as appropriate
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student success
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Maintain professional accreditations, licensing, and/or continuing education requirements as needed
Qualifications
- Active Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) license/certification required
- Experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
- Knowledge of braille, assistive technology, and adaptive instructional strategies preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to supporting student independence and academic growth
