An opportunity is available for a skilled Visually Impaired Teacher to provide specialized instructional support within a school setting in Methuen, MA. This contract position offers full-time or part-time hours from ASAP through June 18, 2026, delivering direct educational services on-site. The role requires expertise in tailored teaching strategies to effectively meet the needs of students with visual impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support aligned with students visual impairment needs
- Design and implement educational plans tailored to diverse learning requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and support staff, to promote student success
- Utilize appropriate assistive technology and resources to enhance learning experiences
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with district policies
Qualifications:
- Active Visually Impaired (VI) Teacher License or Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MA DOE) License
- Successful completion of Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTELs)
- Proven experience working with visually impaired students within educational settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite and engage effectively with students and staff
