Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Experience providing instruction to students with visual impairments in school settings
- Strong knowledge of Braille and adaptive technology
- Ability to develop and adapt Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for advocating for student independence and success
Your Impact:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments, both individually and in group settings
- Assess students needs and create appropriate instructional strategies and accommodations
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, families, and other specialists to support student inclusion and academic progress
- Provide training for staff and caregivers on adapted materials and assistive technology
- Monitor and report student progress, ensuring compliance with all educational requirements
