Job Description

This position offers a fulfilling opportunity for a certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized educational support to K-12 students with visual impairments. The role is based onsite in the Marlborough, MA area for the full school year and can accommodate either full-time or part-time hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with visual impairments.
  • Assess each students abilities and adapt teaching methods to enhance learning and independence.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to support student success.
  • Develop and implement educational plans that comply with state and federal guidelines.
  • Utilize assistive technology and specialized materials to facilitate accessibility.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license.
  • Experience working with K-12 students who are visually impaired.
  • Strong knowledge of educational techniques, assessment tools, and adaptive technologies for visually impaired learners.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
