This full-time, onsite contract opportunity is ideal for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) seeking a dynamic role supporting K-12 students. As a floating TVI, youll work closely with staff and students to empower independence and academic success.

Key Qualifications/Experience:

  • Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Capacity to adapt to changing caseloads and multiple school sites
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction to visually impaired students across various campuses as assigned
  • Adapt and modify educational materials for accessibility
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff, families, and related service professionals
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals specific to vision support
  • Consult with teams on best practices and accommodations for students
  • Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation
  • Stay current on best practices and legal requirements relating to vision education
