Qualifications:
- Current, active North Carolina TVI License/certificate required
- Experience with visually impaired student populations, preferably K-12
- Comfortable working with 2023 students of varying needs
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners and individualized education plans
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills essential
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students (onsite only)
- Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to each students unique needs
- Consult and coordinate with teachers, staff, and families to promote accessible learning environments
- Employ a variety of adaptive techniques, materials, and assistive technologies
- Maintain accurate records and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
