Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled Teacher of the Visually Impaired to provide specialized instruction to students in grades K-12. This position is based onsite in Leominster, MA, and offers both full-time and part-time schedules within a school setting. The role is structured as a contract position for the upcoming school year, ideal for professionals dedicated to supporting visually impaired students through individualized education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to the needs of visually impaired students.
  • Provide direct instructional services, including orientation and mobility training.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to enhance student learning.
  • Utilize specialized tools and technology to facilitate accessibility.
  • Monitor student progress and modify instruction based on assessment data.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license.
  • Experience working with K-12 visually impaired populations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
