An opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired serving high school students in Riverview, FL. This contract position involves instructing 9th-grade students with visual impairments, ensuring they receive tailored educational support to succeed academically and develop essential skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments
- Provide adaptive tools and resources to facilitate learning and independence
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and specialists to support student progress
- Monitor and document student performance and communicate updates regularly
Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification in Florida
- Experience working with visually impaired high school students preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work 46 minutes a day, five days per week
Location: Riverview, FL
Duration: Contract, School Year (CSY)
