This opportunity seeks a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized instruction to 9th-grade students. The role requires a passionate educator with a Florida TVI certification to support students with visual impairments and help them succeed academically and personally.
Location: Riverview, FL
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification in Florida
- Experience working with visually impaired students, preferably at the secondary level
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school teams
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Position Details:
- Contract position with a school setting
- Approximately 46 minutes of instructional time per day, five days per week
- Focus on 9th-grade students with visual impairments
- Provide direct instruction, assistive technology support, and resource consultation to meet student needs
