Job Description

This contract opportunity runs from now through July 3, 2026, offering an on-site role focused on enriching students educational experiences across the district. With a districtwide itinerant caseload, youll collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to provide essential support and instruction.

Your expertise will help cultivate independence and confidence in students with visual challenges. Working closely with a committed educational team, youll develop tailored learning materials, implement individualized education plans, and ensure students receive the resources and accommodations they need to flourish.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) educator license required
  • Experience supporting students with visual impairments in school settings preferred
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to travel between sites within the district as needed
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptations for visually impaired learners

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and consultation services to students on a districtwide itinerant caseload
  • Create and adapt instructional materials to meet students specific needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, service providers, and families for effective IEP implementation
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and provide progress reports
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource to staff regarding strategies and best practices for visual impairments
