This full-time contract opportunity is perfect for dedicated educators ready to travel within the district, ensuring all students have access to high-quality learning experiences. You will work closely with students, families, and school teams to adapt and deliver curriculum, addressing unique learning needs with professionalism and care.

Key Qualifications:

• State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Proven experience working with school-aged students with visual impairments
• Strong understanding of adaptive technologies and Braille
• Ability to travel between multiple school sites within the district
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Commitment to personalized instruction and inclusion

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess students visual abilities and educational needs
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide direct instruction in Braille, assistive technology, and daily living skills
• Consult with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum and materials
• Serve as a resource for staff on best practices in supporting visually impaired students
• Document progress and maintain thorough student records
• Attend meetings, workshops, and participate in ongoing professional development

Role Highlights:

• Full-time schedule of 37.540 hours per week
