Qualifications:

• Valid and active Illinois state licensure and certification for teaching students with visual impairments
• CTE (Career and Technical Education) endorsement required
• Prior school-based experience working directly with visually impaired students
• Strong understanding of functional vision assessments and media assessments
• Exceptional observation and documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate findings
• Available for 30-minute interview sessions
• Ready to start as soon as possible

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive functional vision and media assessments for students as requested
• Observe classroom environments to gather essential information about students visual needs and learning styles
• Provide clear, organized, and detailed reports based on evaluations and classroom observations
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure the assessment findings are effectively shared and understood
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all educational and ethical standards
• No remote or VOCO responsibilitieswork is on-site only
