Qualifications:
- Valid and active Illinois state licensure and certification for teaching students with visual impairments
- CTE (Career and Technical Education) endorsement required
- Prior school-based experience working directly with visually impaired students
- Strong understanding of functional vision assessments and media assessments
- Exceptional observation and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate findings
- Available for 30-minute interview sessions
- Ready to start as soon as possible
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive functional vision and media assessments for students as requested
- Observe classroom environments to gather essential information about students visual needs and learning styles
- Provide clear, organized, and detailed reports based on evaluations and classroom observations
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure the assessment findings are effectively shared and understood
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all educational and ethical standards
- No remote or VOCO responsibilitieswork is on-site only
