A full-time position is available for a qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support multiple school districts within Washington County, Pennsylvania. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse K-12 caseload, providing essential services to students with visual impairments across various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Travel between multiple school sites within Washington County to serve assigned caseload.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Participate in district meetings and professional development activities related to visual impairment education.
Qualifications:
- Active Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification required.
- Experience working with visually impaired students across K-12 grade levels.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly between multiple school sites.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to student success and adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Location: This role is based onsite within Washington County, Pennsylvania, requiring travel to multiple district locations.
