In this vital position, youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help visually impaired students achieve their fullest potential. Key Qualifications:

• State certification in Visual Impairment required.
• Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students who are visually impaired.
• Ability to develop, adapt, and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs).
• Proficiency in Braille, assistive technology, and orientation and mobility strategies.
• Strong communication skills to engage families, staff, and students.
• Flexibility to travel between sites as needed.

Core Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging instruction tailored for students with visual impairments.
• Assess student needs and progress, updating goals and intervention methods as appropriate.
• Collaborate closely with general and special education staff to ensure accessibility of core curriculum.
• Provide direct instruction in Braille, adaptive technology, and daily living skills.
• Serve as a resource and advocate for visually impaired students and their families.
• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
