This contract position spans from now until July 2026, offering the opportunity to collaborate with teams and impact students across multiple learning environments.

As an on-site Teacher for the Visually Impaired, youll use your specialized skills to help students access curriculum, develop life skills, and reach their fullest potential. Your expertise will play a crucial role in fostering inclusion and building student independenceboth in the classroom and beyond.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid educator license as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Demonstrated experience supporting K-12 students with diverse needs
• Strong ability to adapt materials and curriculum for accessible learning
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Previous districtwide itinerant experience is valued

Role Highlights & Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a districtwide, itinerant caseload of students requiring visual impairment support
• Assess individual student needs and implement IEP goals in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide direct instruction in areas such as orientation and mobility, Braille, assistive technology, and daily living skills
• Consult and collaborate with general and special education staff to ensure student accommodations are implemented appropriately
• Engage with families and caregivers, offering resources and regular progress updates
• Document services, maintain records, and stay up-to-date on best practices for inclusive education
