Key Qualifications:

  • Certified as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (VI)
  • Experience teaching students at multiple grade levels is advantageous
  • Proficiency in adapting curriculum and instructional materials for students with visual impairments
  • Skilled in both formal and informal assessment methods to track student progress
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience participating in ARD meetings

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized educational programs and teaching strategies tailored to visually impaired students in accordance with district standards
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor achievement and guide instructional adjustments
  • Prepare documentation and contribute insights at ARD meetings
  • Work closely with other educators, families, and support staff to promote student success and inclusion
  • Offer direct and consultative services, ensuring access to educational materials and technology

This role features a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 37.5 hours per week, running August 10, 2026 through May 27, 2027providing the stability and structure ideal for work-life balance.
