Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Ohio Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification required
  • Experience working with students who have visual impairments or low vision, or a strong desire to learn and grow in this setting

  • Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
  • Willingness to travel between buildings and provide occasional homebound instruction

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction and support to students with visual impairments across various school settings
  • Assess student needs and adapt educational materials for accessibility
  • Consult and collaborate with educators and family members to support each learners goals
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to foster growth and academic success
  • Participate in required meetings and provide progress updates as needed
  • Travel between different school buildings as assigned, with occasional home visits based on student requirements
