Make a meaningful impact guiding students with visual impairments in a supportive educational setting. In this contract opportunity, you'll work with K-12 students to help them access curriculum, develop crucial life skills, and reach their fullest potential. The role requires a dedicated and compassionate educator with specialized experience.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Georgia license as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
• Background in working with students who are visually impaired, preferably within a school environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt instruction for students of varying ages and needs within K-12

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students with visual impairments for approximately 6-7 hours each month, one day per week
• Assess student needs and develop individualized educational strategies that foster academic and functional independence
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure effective IEP implementation
• Offer recommendations for classroom adaptations and specialized materials, facilitating a barrier-free learning environment
• Document student progress and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
