Empower students to reach their full potential by helping them gain independence and thrive in and out of the classroom as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. This contract opportunity, starting as soon as possible and continuing through late May 2027, is based near Grove City, OH and spans the full K-12 range across the district. Youll manage a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours and have the chance to work collaboratively with educators and families to provide meaningful, individualized support to students with visual impairments.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Ohio certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments preferred
• Thorough understanding of Braille, assistive technology, and other adaptive devices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams, including general education staff and related service providers
• Experience adapting curriculum materials and developing IEP goals related to visual impairment needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students across various school sites
• Assess students strengths and needs, recommending and implementing appropriate accommodations and modifications
• Write, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with Ohio state standards
• Consult with teachers, aides, and families to maximize student success and independence
• Provide training and guidance regarding adaptive techniques and tools, such as Braille, large print, and assistive technology
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by the district and state
