This full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired position offers the opportunity to provide specialized educational services to K-12 students within a school setting in Greensboro, NC. The role is contract-based for the Non-School Year (NSY) and requires an on-site commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support tailored to the needs of visually impaired students across K-12 grade levels.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to develop and implement effective strategies that foster student independence and academic progress.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and engage with a Clinical Advisory Team for ongoing mentorship and support.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid North Carolina Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) License.
- Experience working with visually impaired children in educational settings, preferably within K-12.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
