Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching credential with an endorsement in Visual Impairment or equivalent certification
• Previous experience teaching students who are blind or have low vision in a school setting
• Strong understanding of assistive technologies and strategies for accessible instruction
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to visual impairments
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability and creativity in addressing diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative instruction to students with visual impairments across various grade levels
• Assess students functional vision and learning needs, recommending appropriate materials and modifications
• Support classroom teachers in adapting curriculum, instructional materials, and classroom environments
