Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for visually impaired students
• Familiarity with assistive technology, Braille, and accessible instructional materials
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to K-12 students with visual impairments, both individually and in groups
• Assess students needs and create effective, personalized lesson plans
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and materials
• Monitor student progress and participate in IEP meetings
• Serve as a resource for staff and families on best practices and strategies for supporting visually impaired students
