Job Description

A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired seeking a travel position located in Riverview, FL. This role provides essential educational support to 9th-grade students with visual impairments, helping them to access the curriculum and develop critical skills for academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students with visual impairments.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt materials and implement accommodations.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies.
  • Provide training and resources to families and school personnel to support student learning.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education services.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) credential in the state of Florida.
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in the secondary education level.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional strategies for students with visual impairments.
  • Ability to travel as part of the assignment and adapt to different school environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Position Details:

  • Location: Riverview, FL
  • Schedule: 46 minutes per day, 5 days a week
  • Age Group: 9th grade students
