Bring your expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to positively impact students educational journeys. A contract position is available for the 2026/2027 school year, serving elementary, middle, and high school students in a dynamic and supportive environment near Fayetteville, NC. You'll work full-time, Monday through Fridayideal for professionals who thrive on meaningful student interactions and a consistent schedule.

Your skills in adaptive instruction will empower students with visual impairments to flourish academically and socially. Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to develop and implement strategies that promote student growth and independence.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI Teacher)
• Demonstrated experience or training in teaching students with visual impairments across K-12
• Knowledge of specialized instructional strategies and technology relevant to visual impairment
• Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and ARD (Admission, Review, Dismissal) meeting participation
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to students visual and learning needs
• Conduct ongoing, comprehensive assessments using both formal and informal methods to monitor academic achievement
• Prepare for and actively participate in ARD meetings, advocating for appropriate student accommodations and services
• Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with district and state requirements
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related staff to support student inclusion and success
