A full-time position is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) serving elementary, middle, and high school students within a school setting. This contract role runs from August 10, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a standard Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week. Located in Fayetteville, NC, this opportunity involves working directly with students in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students across multiple grade levels.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement using both formal and informal testing methods.
- Prepare for and actively participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings.
- Implement teaching methods that align with district requirements and ensure compliance with certification standards.
- Manage a caseload that includes elementary, middle, and high school students.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) is required.
- Experience working with students with visual impairments across diverse grade levels.
- Ability to conduct thorough assessments and modify instructional strategies accordingly.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and with families.
