We are seeking an adaptable Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized instruction within a dynamic school district for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a contract position where youll work onsite in close collaboration with students, families, and educational teams to make meaningful differences in learners lives.
Interviews are happening now for the upcoming school year! While specific school assignments and schedules are still being finalized, your expertise will be essential in shaping accessible learning environments for K-12 students.
Qualifications & Certification:
- Current and active Colorado Department of Education licensure (CDE Certification)
- Background working with visually impaired students in educational settings
- Deep understanding of Braille, assistive technology, and modified curriculum strategies
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete district-required background check and fingerprinting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with visual impairments
- Partner with general education teachers and support staff to implement IEPs and adapt materials
- Travel between school sites as needed within the assigned area
- Assess students needs and monitor progress, making instructional adjustments when necessary
- Serve as a resource for colleagues and families regarding specialized materials and adaptive technology

Compensation for this position ranges from $28.00 to $48.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
