Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

  • Previous experience supporting school-age children with visual impairments is highly valued
  • Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable creating and adapting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instructional support to visually impaired students in a variety of educational settings
  • Develop, modify, and implement lesson plans tailored to each student's strengths and needs
  • Work closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure accessibility for all learning materials
