Job Description

This opportunity is for a full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) serving students across K-12 levels in multiple districts within Washington County, PA. The role requires traveling between various school sites to provide specialized support and instruction tailored to students with visual impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and support to students who are visually impaired across multiple school districts.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement appropriate educational plans.
  • Conduct assessments and monitor student progress regularly.
  • Provide training and resources to school personnel to enhance understanding and accommodations for visually impaired students.
  • Travel between assigned school sites within the county as needed to fulfill caseload responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Educator Certification is required.
  • Experience working with visually impaired students in K-12 educational settings.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between school locations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to supporting students academic and social development.

Location and Schedule:

  • Position is onsite across multiple districts in Washington County, Pennsylvania.
  • Full-time schedule, approximately 37.5 hours per week.
  • Assignment duration from ASAP to June 16, 2026.
