Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid and active DOE teaching certification
  • Expertise in Braille instruction and Assistive Technology; proficiency with the Federal Quota program is a bonus
  • Experience working with general education and students with multiple disabilities, ages K12+
  • Comfortable utilizing platforms such as TN Pulse for IEP documentation and Chromebooks for student learning
  • Completion of required fingerprinting for credentialing
  • Familiarity with itinerant service models and travel scheduling preferred

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and consultative vision services to assigned students across multiple school sites
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal development
  • Teach Braille and adaptive skills, implement assistive technology
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
