Qualifications:
- Experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Proficient in Braille and assistive technology; familiarity with the Federal Quota program is a plus
- Active Department of Education certification required
- Completion of fingerprinting/background check
- Willingness to travel between assigned schools within a defined area
- Experience with IEPs and the TN Pulse platform preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide itinerant TVI services to K-12+ students, supporting both general and special education classrooms
- Evaluate and implement individualized educational plans using assistive technology and Braille
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Travel between geographically assigned schools (schedule to be finalized)
- Help students maximize their independence and learning potential
