Qualifications:

  • Valid DOE teaching certification (TVI)
  • Minimum five years experience as a Virtual TVI required for remote consideration
  • Proficiency with Braille and assistive technology (experience with Federal Quota Program is a plus)
  • Experience across K-12+ (including general and multiple disabilities classrooms)
  • Completion of fingerprint/background check

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative support to visually impaired students across itinerant K-12+ settings
  • Collaborate with Gen Ed and Special Education teachers, attending IEP meetings using the TN Pulse platform
  • Utilize Chromebooks and assistive technology, fostering student independence and access
  • Travel efficiently between assigned schools within the Chattanooga area
