A full-time opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Cambridge, MA. This onsite position involves working directly within one school setting, carrying out typical TVI duties to support visually impaired students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure accessibility
- Monitor student progress and maintain necessary documentation
- Utilize adaptive technologies and materials suited for visual impairments
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) licensure is required
- Experience working with visually impaired students in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills essential
- Ability to work onsite full-time within the assigned school
