Job Description

A full-time opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Cambridge, MA. This onsite position involves working directly within one school setting, carrying out typical TVI duties to support visually impaired students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure accessibility
  • Monitor student progress and maintain necessary documentation
  • Utilize adaptive technologies and materials suited for visual impairments

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) licensure is required
  • Experience working with visually impaired students in a school environment preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills essential
  • Ability to work onsite full-time within the assigned school
