Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) on a full-time contract basis near Brockton, MA. You'll provide specialized instructional services for K-12 students, ensuring access and equal educational opportunities within an inclusive school environment. Collaborate with passionate educators to design and implement individualized support, fostering independence and academic success in learners with visual impairments.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Massachusetts TVI license
- At least one year of professional school-based experience preferred
- Strong instructional skills with a student-centered, flexible approach
- Ability to adapt curriculum and materials for diverse visual needs
- Effective communication with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Support K-12 students with visual impairments in accordance with IEP goals
- Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans and adaptive materials
- Teach Braille, orientation and mobility, and assistive technology skills as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and other staff to ensure student success
- Monitor progress, document student growth, and participate in IEP meetings
- Serve as a resource to school personnel and families on best practices for supporting visually impaired learners

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.00 to $55.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
