Job Description

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired to provide specialized educational services at a school in Brockton, MA. This full-time, onsite contract position involves managing a caseload of students requiring support in visual impairment.

Responsibilities include delivering tailored instruction and support aligned with the unique needs of students with visual impairments. The role requires collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that promote academic and social development. Additional duties encompass conducting assessments, adapting learning materials, and providing assistive technology training.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) licensure is mandatory
  • Proven experience performing typical TVI duties, including assessment and instructional support
  • Ability to work effectively onsite within a school environment
