As a consultant, you'll play a key role in supporting students across multiple grade levels, ensuring they receive the resources and instruction needed for success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid MI TVI License required
  • Background in consulting or teaching for the visually impaired (K-12)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
  • Organizational skills to manage caseload documentation and assessments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and consultation services to visually impaired students in K-12 settings
  • Conduct assessments of students needs in collaboration with educational teams
  • Assist in developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide recommendations on adaptive technologies and resources
  • Support classroom teachers and staff to adapt curriculum and learning environments
  • Advocate for student accessibility and inclusion within the school community
