This opportunity is for a Visually Impaired Teacher position located in Boston, MA. This role involves working within a school setting on a contract basis, providing specialized educational support to students with visual impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored for students with visual impairments
- Adapt instructional materials and environments to meet students' unique needs
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student learning and development
- Provide direct instruction in Braille, orientation and mobility, and assistive technology as needed
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
