A full-time position is available for a skilled Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized support to students in a school setting located in Boston, MA. This contract role involves delivering comprehensive services tailored to visually impaired students, ensuring they receive the necessary instruction and assistance to thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on visual impairment needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student success
- Utilize specialized tools and techniques appropriate for visually impaired students
- Monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) licensure required
- Proven experience working with visually impaired students in educational settings
- Strong understanding of assistive technology and teaching methodologies for visually impaired learners
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Boston, MA
