Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) supporting students educational journeys in a vibrant and inclusive setting near Bellevue, WA. This part-time, onsite contract runs from August 26, 2026, to June 16, 2027, and gives you the opportunity to work closely with a small caseloadmaking focused, individualized contributions. You'll collaborate with faculty, families, and specialists to help students with visual impairments reach their potential academically and socially.

What Were Looking For:

  • Valid Washington State TVI (Teacher for the Visually Impaired) certification
  • Fingerprint clearance through OSPI (Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction)
  • Previous experience working with students who are visually impaired preferred
  • Strong ability to modify curriculum and materials according to student needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to maintaining documentation and individualized service minutes

What This Role Involves:

  • Deliver direct and consultative services for approximately 8 students, fulfilling their weekly, monthly, and quarterly IEP requirements (about 15 hours per week)
  • Provide instruction and support in core academic subjects and orientation & mobility as needed
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt instructional content and classroom environment
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of each students educational plans and achievements
  • Attend IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
