Youll work five days per week, engaging with students across a variety of ages and abilities, helping facilitate access to learning and promoting independence.

Qualifications:

• Maryland certification/licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to adapt materials and curriculum for visual accessibility
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and consultative services to K-12 students with visual impairments
• Assess student needs and design individualized education plans (IEPs) with measurable goals
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
• Develop and adapt curricula and instructional materials using braille, large print, and various assistive technology
• Advocate for students independence and inclusion across academic and social settings
