Were seeking an educator who is passionate about specialized instruction, creative in approach, and dedicated to helping students achieve individualized learning goals. In this role, you'll work closely with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective strategies and accommodations.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification with a specialization in Visual Impairment (TVI)
  • Experience providing direct instruction to students with visual impairments
  • Strong understanding of adaptive technology and assistive devices
  • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's visual abilities and needs
  • Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers and staff to maximize inclusion and student success
  • Instruct students in the use of Braille, large print, and other access methods as needed
  • Collaborate with families and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support
  • Assess students functional vision and learning materials to recommend accommodations and modifications
  • Track and document student progress, participating in regular IEP meetings

Compensation for this position ranges from $30.00 to $53.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
