Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in students lives by supporting learners with visual impairments in an onsite, contract-based opportunity for the 2026-2027 academic year! This position is based in the Denver area and offers the chance to partner with passionate educational teams while delivering expert instruction and support to visually impaired students across a dynamic and inclusive school environment.

As a teacher for the visually impaired, youll help create accessible, engaging learning experiences for students of varying age groups. Assignments and caseloads may vary throughout the school year, as the district is still finalizing campus and full-time versus part-time needs. This flexibility allows you to adapt your skills in collaborative settings and further develop your expertise.

What Youll Bring:

  • Active CDE Certification required
  • Previous experience supporting students with visual impairments (TVI certification or relevant background preferred)
  • Ability to complete a district-specific background check and fingerprinting process
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work alongside multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, accessible learning environment

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support for students with visual impairments
  • Consult with general education teachers on accommodations and modifications
  • Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Advocate for student success and equitable access to learning opportunities
  • Adapt instructional materials using assistive technology as needed
