Key Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Proven classroom or educational experience working with students who are blind or have low vision
  • Comprehensive understanding of Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive tools
  • Skill in designing and adapting curriculum to meet individual learning needs
  • Strong communication abilities to coordinate with families, general education staff, and related service providers
  • Organizational talents for developing and updating Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Compassion and patience while providing direct services and consultation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional vision assessments and learning media assessments for students
  • Develop and implement individualized instructional plans
